The Freestyle Lite Testing Strips are designed to test the level of glucose in your blood in the convenience of your own home. These blood glucose strips are simple, quick and virtually pain-free. 
Features
The Freestyle Lite has no chip, meaning one less step. The strips are foil wrapped, protecting them from air and moisture. Only a small sample of blood is required for this test and it has an increased accuracy with fewer errors. 
How Freestyle Lite Testing Strips work
The Freestyle Lite Testing Strips work alongside the Freestyle Lite blood glucose testing machine and are to be used with the FreeStyle Lite System only. 
Directions
0.6ul of blood is required and the test only starts when the blood sample has been applied. The strips will then work as part of the system, giving you results after 5 seconds. 
Why should diabetics monitor their glucose levels?
For diabetics, it is extremely important to monitor your blood sugar (glucose) levels. Keeping a close eye on your blood glucose allows you to see the effects that specific foods, medications and exercises have on your body. Your GP tells you your target blood sugar range, allowing you to check for levels that are too high or low. 
 
You will need to keep a record of your blood sugar levels. The information provided in the results allows your doctor to make decisions about your diabetes management plan. Changes can include a change of medication or a different diet. 
 
Storage information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
