If you get gas, bloating or diarrhea from milk, or other dairy foods, it could be due to difficulty digesting the milk sugar, lactose. Extra Strength Lactaid Lactase Enzyme provides the digestive enzyme, lactase, which breaks down lactose into easily digested sugars to help prevent uncomfortable symptoms of lactose intolerance.
Directions for use: Swallow or chew tablets just before eating any food containing lactose. The amount of Extra Strength Lactaid Lactase Enzyme you need depends on the amount of lactose in the food you eat. Start with two tablets and adjust up or down to find your own personal need. A maximum of four tablets at any one time should prevent the symptoms cause by lactose intolerance. If symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use and talk to a doctor.

Caution: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes or galactosemia. Headaches, heartburn, bloating and hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) have been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
