What is Nelsons® Arnica Cream?
Nelsons® Arnica Cream is a traditional herbal medicine for treating bruises. The caring formula is natural and contains the active ingredient Arnica Montana which can provide symptomatic relief for bruises. Nelsons® Arnica Cream is a great product to keep in your medicine cupboard or first aid kit for everyday bumps and bruises. What are bruises?
Bruise are patches that appear beneath the skin and occur when capillaries (small blood vessels) break or burst. The blood from the capillaries leak into the soft tissue which cause bluish or purple coloured patches on fair skin and dark purple, brownish or black patches on darker skin. When they first appear, bruises tend to feel swollen or tender to touch. Most bruises disappear after a couple of weeks, however if your bruise is still visible after 2 weeks, it is recommended that you seek advice from your GP. If you experience a lot of bruises suddenly or unexplained bruising, seek advice from your GP as this may be a symptoms of an underlying illness. 
What causes bruises?
Bruises commonly occur if you have injured yourself and/or when your skin has experienced some kind of impact, such as falling. Some people naturally bruise easier than others because their skin is thinner and the tissue beneath is more fragile.
How can Arnica Cream help to treat bruises?
Arnica cream contains the active ingredient, Arnica Montana which has been sourced directly from the Scottish Highlands. Arnica Montana has been used in traditional medicine to provide symptomatic relief of bruises. The cream is made with natural ingredients and is not tested on animals. The cream formula is easy to apply and can be applied to unbroken skin at any time you feel bruising or bumps developing after a fall or injury. 
How to use this product
Ensure that the tube’s seal is not broken before use. Pierce the tube seal with the point which is located in the top of the cap before use. 
Adults, the elderly and children: apply to the affected area 4 times a day as required. 
Warnings
This product is for external use only
Keep this product away from eyes
Do NOT apply to broken or irritated skin
If symptoms worsen or you do not feel any benefit from this medicine after 2 weeks, seek advice from your doctor
When NOT to use this product
Do NOT use this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list) or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This product contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause skin reactions. 
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Nelsons® Arnica Cream can cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. It is possible to experience:
Itching
Rash
Dry skin
Skin reaction
