Each easy to swallow Maximum Strength Pepcid AC tablet contains 20mg of famotidine, twice the medicine found in Pepcid AC for fast and effective relief from heartburn, acid indigestion and sour or upset stomach due to excess stomach acid. Maximum Strength Pepcid AC, when taken 10-15 minutes before a meal, can prevent symptoms brought on by eating or drinking food and beverages. Red leaflet for important information before use.
Dosage: Adults and children 12 years and older: Take one tablet for relief of acid related symptoms. To prevent symptoms, take 1 tablet 10-15 minutes before a meal. Do not take more than 1 tablet at a time. Tablet to be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.
If symptoms get worse or persist for more than 14 days, or if new symptoms develop, stop use and talk to a doctor.
Warnings: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have previous history of ulcer; pain on swallowing, severe vomiting, black stool, choking, chest pain, kidney disease or other severe illnesses, or are pregnant or breast-feeding or over 40 and experiencing new or recently changed heartburn or experiencing unintended weight loss with heartburn.
