Pirinase Allergy Nasal Spray is a treatment that prevents the allergic symptoms of hayfever and other airborne allergies. 
The spray relieves symptoms including sneezing, itching and watery eyes and a runny, itchy or blocked nose. 
How Pirinase Allergy Nasal Spray works
The active ingredient in Pirinase Allergy Nasal Spray is fluticasone propionate. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid which has an anti-inflammatory action and works in a similar way to the natural body chemicals to control inflammation.  
 
Directions
Always use exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 
Shake the bottle well before use. It is advised for you to use the spray in the morning. 
Spray 2 puffs into each nostril daily. Once your symptoms have improved, you can reduce the dose to 1 puff in each nostril daily. Do not use more than 4 sprays in each nostril daily. 
 
Side effects
Like all medicines, Pirinase Allergy Nasal Spray may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include: 
 
Nose bleeds 
Dryness or irritation in the nose or throat 
Unpleasant taste or smell 
Headaches 
 
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
 
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 
Warnings
Pirinase Allergy Nasal Spray may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if: 
 
You have an infection in your nose or sinuses
If you have a high temperature or you have recently had surgery, an injury, or ulcers in your nose 
You experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances 
Using/taking other medicines
Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications including ones obtained without a prescription. It is important to speak to your doctor if you are taking the following: 
 
Corticosteroid medicines 
Asthma injections, tablets, inhalers, nasal sprays and eye or nose drops 
Anti-HIV medicines 
Ketoconazole
 
Age restrictions 
This product is not suitable for under 18’s.
 
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine. 
 
Storage information
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
