I really recommend this when you are starting to date someone. It can be a great date night idea! specially in a cozy environment. It’s insightful, you laugh, you connect, you learn, you question.
I also encourage a round 2 after a while of dating. Now that you are even more connected and comfortable with each other, this is a great way to enhance that connection.

Not as ominous as my title sounds but this game really digs into your emotions. I’ve played this with my friends, partner and family – all with very different outcomes. I think it’s a great game to get to know your loved ones (or even strangers!) a bit better, and maybe be ready for a few tears. Every time after playing, it give you a great chance to reflect on your relationships and on yourself, which is something I’ve found very interesting.

I was really psyched about purchasing these cards but I will say that they definitely are a bit overhyped. I feel like some of the questions are interesting and introspective, maybe challenging, but a good chunk of the cards feel kind of meh, others feel outright kind of antagonistic. I definitely don’t think there are worth the price point.

I got this game as a gift for my new partner for Valentine’s Day and we played it for the first time yesterday and it’s so sweet. The first round of questions are really fun and light and sweet, and they warm up the conversation so that getting to the more personal & deeper questions is easier for players who are shyer about opening up. I wasn’t sure if my partner would be into this, but in the note he wrote me at the end of the game (the Final Card prompt), he said he really enjoyed the conversation and deeper connection that this game gave us, and that he’d love to play it more often, so that’s a win!!
